In order to fix the problem, I suggest you upgrade the software to the latest version. I tested it on my computer and it allows you to upload the photos without issues. Also, make sure you're trying to edit .bmp or .jpg files because the application doesn't support any other image format. If you still have issues, use the contact form from the official web page to get in touch with the developer.
